A second viewing at a different hour
The single most useful thing anyone told me about buying abroad was to see every place twice, at two different times of day.
A flat in Dubai that felt calm at eleven in the morning turned out to sit beside a junction that only wakes up after five. Same flat, same view, completely different thing to live in.
I keep my shortlist on https://global-property.investments/ and I now book two viewings before I let a place onto it.
It has doubled the number of trips and halved the number of places I am still considering, which I think is the right direction.
