1st Life's
Employee of the Year: Quest for Excellence

Employees have various needs and wants. Every negotiation program is founded on the premise that employees desire to be recognized for their efforts. They want to know if their work makes a difference. While instant recognition, like a pat on the back, or a simple thank you, creates immediate pride and satisfaction, and annual program for program for distinguishing individual accomplishments, witnessed by the entire workforce creates the same impact as well.

Cognizant of this need, 1st Life creates a culture of celebrating the small and bigh achievements of employees. From passing various company sponsored education programs to perfect attendance, 1st Life rejoices in the employees' triumph through regular encouragements, company wide announcements, creation of incentive schemes, and a formal annual recognition program.

One of the programs launched by 1st Life is the Employee Of The Year. Given only once a year the award aims to recognize a staff's exemplary performance. It provides employees with the motivation to go above and beyond the call of duty while also promoting peer recognition as nominations are done by peers.

The nominees are judged on a four-point criteria of work ethics, building harmonious relationship, uniqueness of achievement and contribution to productivity.

On its second year, the EOY award was warmly received by employees as participation in the program has increased by 75% compared to its previous level, a clear manifestation that the organization's work environment puts premium on peer recognition and employee involvement.
