Dec 2003 1st Life Supports "Mano Po 2"

In photo with Mr. Peter Coyiuto is Ms. Susan Roces, "First Lady of Philippine cinema" and wife of presidential aspirant Fernando Poe Jr.

First Guarantee Life Assurance Co., Inc. (1st Life), a leading local life insurance firm and arm of the Coyiuto Group of Companies, ties up with Regal Entertainment Inc. in its movie production of Mano Po 2, an official entry to the upcoming annual Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF)

1st Life President and CEO Peter Coyiuto, in cooperation with"Empress of Philippine movies" Lily Monteverde of Regal, initiated the opportunity to create awareness in the Filipino moviegoers about the value of life insurance. Producer Roselle Monteverde-Teo gave full support to the 1st Life campaign in Mano Po 2.

Coyiuto believes that the epic film drama about the lives of a traditional Filipino-Chinese family presents a good medium to enhance public responsiveness on being insured for life. Mano Po 2 once again captures the virtues of the family and the cultural diversity of the Filipino nation. In the movie, Filipino wife Sol played by veteran actress Susan Roces receives the benefits of the insurance on the life of taipan Antonio Chui played by multi-awarded drama actor Christopher de Leon.

Coyiuto expands on life insurance as the most beautiful product ever created by mankind with his conviction that "it is only life insurance that takes such a small portion of your money in good times and gives back so much in bad times. Unlike in banking and other financial products that take more in good times and give less in bad times. To give real service cannot be bought nor measured with money, but only with sincerity and integrity." The executive hopes that with more Filipinos appreciating the merits of life insurance, the growth of the industry can in turn help in nation-building.

The grand project from the premier movie outfit is the follow-up to the 2002 MMFF Best Picture Tsinoy melodrama in another screen collaboration of Philippine cinema bigwigs with acclaimed director Erik Matti based on the winning screenplay of Roi Iglesias and Mother Lily.
