Keeping
up with the changing needs of the Filipino families, First
Life Financial Co., Inc. broadens its product line with the
launch of its variable life insurance product, 1st Investment
Plus.First Life President and CEO Peter Coyiuto relates variable
life insurance to the life stages of an individual and believes
that the product best complements the needs of those who are
preparing for their retirement years. "While traditional
life insurance products focus on addressing the financial
needs of the single and married people, as well as parents;
variable life insurance is a form of reward for those in their
40s; those who have already accomplished their respective
roles in life who are now much-deserving to reap the fruits
of their hardwork. This product can surely be one of the greatest
gifts that they can give themselves."
The
company also considers the recent upgrade of the Philippines'
credit ratingas a significant player in its entry to the variable
life market. Account values of variable life insurance products
are directly linked to the performance of the investment funds
chosen by a policyholder. With a positive market outlook,
policyholders will have a greater opportunity to earn higher
rewards through the product.
This
latest offering from First Life offers its policyholders with
life insurance protection up to age 99 for a one-time cash
outlay of P 50,000.00. 1st Investment Plus also gives freedom
to its policyholders to invest their funds in 1st Peso Bond
Fund, 1st Peso Balanced Fund, and 1st Peso Equity Fund. Funds
invested under 1st Investment Plus will be expertly handled
by the largest asset manager in the country, BPI Asset Management
and Trust Group.
First

March
2011 - First Life Holds Leadership Summit
First
Life held the second rendition of its Leadership Summit on
March 10, 2011 at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Manila. Truly a
momentous occasion for the company, the event gathered distinguished
business leaders who shared their leadership strategies behind
the global success of Filipino brands such as UNILAB, PANCAKE
HOUSE and BELO MEDICAL GROUP.
Mr. Clinton Campos-Hess, President and CEO of UNILAB, shared
UNILAB's transformation from a small store in Sto. Cristo,
Manila to a world-class diversified pharmaceutical company.
Mr. Martin Lorenzo, Chairman of the Board, President and CEO
of Pancake House Group, said that the key to his groups
success is in choosing the best people to work for his organization.
Last but not the least, Dr. Vicki Belo, President of the Belo
Medical Group, intimated how her childhood dream became an
advocacy that contributed to the success of her business venture,
that is, helping people improve their self-esteem through
enhancement of ones physical attributes. All three speakers
were well-applauded by the guests for the unique learning
opportunity they took away from the renowned Filipino business
mavericks.
Equally important, the occasion recognized the elite group
of FIRST LIFES Financial Planners for having hurdled
stiff criteria to earn both international and local distinctions.
Certainly giving pride and honor to First Life are its Financial
Planners who consistently qualified to the prestigious Million
Dollar Round Table (MDRT).
First
Lifes multi-awarded branch manager, Josie Gotohio,
made her entry to MDRTs Hall of Fame this year after

early in his career by earning his first COT badge in his
rookie year. Lourdes Yao, on the other hand, achieves the
COT this year after her 13-year MDRT qualification; while
Lorna Lao bags her 9th MDRT, 4th COT and 2nd TOT. Patricia

professionals with 31, 500 members or less than 1% of the
life insurance and financial services professionals around
the globe, from 464 companies in more than 80 nations and
territories. MDRT membership is also recognized internationally
as the standard of sales excellence in the life insurance
and financial services business.
Aside
from the MDRT, the Financial planners likewise vied for the
Producers Circle, the premier distinction that First
Life confers to its sales force, and the Activity Club. Producers
Circle Bronze awards went to Athena Chua, Ines Ang,
Pye Villapando, Rosalie Aslon, and Patricia Cua; while Ester
Sy grabbed the Silver award. Bagging the highest award,
Platinum level, of Producers Circle distinction were

experience, First Life looks ahead to more remarkable moments
in its corporate life. First Life takes pride and is always
mindful of its responsibility in providing an avenue to enrich
people's lives by spreading the value of financial protection
in every family and sharing success stories of First Lifes
Financial Planners and individuals coming from the business
world and the community.
