With each 1st Life insurance policy* you buy, a contribution automatically goes to Cartwheel Foundation at no extra effort on your part. These donations become new learning experiences for the children.

BLESS THE CHILDREN (BTC), is a charity project of 1st Life , in line with the company's core value of responsible corporate citizenship. The campaign aims to provide assistance to Cartwheel Foundation's pre-school program. The campaign is envisioned to provide assistance to the organization in improving the facilities and making available other necessary materials for the development of the students in the pre-school.

Under the BTC project, an individual who purchase a life insurance policy from 1st Life automatically donates to the Cartwheel Foundation. A percentage of their paid premium will be channeled to the organization without any additional cash out from the policyholder. However, if the client would like to make an additional contribution they may do so.

This fund-raising project will run from 1 April 2005 until 30 November 2005 only.

Cartwheel's guiding principles are based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child that clearly states the right of every child to quality basic education (Articles 28 & 29) and the Philippine Constitution (Article 14) which states the government's responsibility to protect and promote the right of all citizens to quality education at all levels.
